CBC Marketplace Report on Natural Health Products

In November 2015 CBC Marketplace reported on natural health products (NHP) with label-content discrepancies.  The broadcast sent shock waves throughout the natural health industry.  However, CBC has since retracted their report and apologized.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/marketplace-vitamins-protein-powders-lab-testing-1.3412760  It appears that Labdoor, the lab company in charge of the testing had made significant error.  It falsely claimed certain NHP tested did not provide truthful labeling.  Labdoor did correctly find some fish oil products to be rancid.

Bottom line, the health food industry could use more regulation and oversight, in general.  However, your naturopathic doctor only use professional grade product from companies that provide rigorous testing on purity and content.
