About Kitty Shang

Since graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004, Dr. Kitty Shang has been dedicated to delivering professional, compassionate care to clients of all ages. She values collaboration with other health practitioners to provide a truly comprehensive approach to wellness. With a deep commitment to patient education, Dr. Kitty ensures her clients fully understand their diagnoses and treatments, empowering them to take an active role in their health.

Long before embarking on her journey in natural medicine, Dr. Kitty was a self-proclaimed science nerd with an insatiable curiosity for all things in nature. Her passion for discovery led her to graduate with Distinction from the University of Guelph, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. Today, she continues her pursuit of knowledge in women’s health, digestive health, chronic degenerative diseases, and cancer care. As a natural problem solver, Dr. Kitty thrives on tackling complex and unconventional symptoms—her favorite aspect of being a Naturopathic Doctor. As a DONA-trained Doula, Dr. Kitty also guides women in reconnecting with their inner strength during labour.

Beyond her practice, Dr. Kitty is a devoted mother to two energetic children and is deeply committed to providing young ones with a strong foundation for lifelong health. She also has a keen interest in helping young athletes achieve peak performance by optimizing their physiology and nutrition, ensuring they can perform at their best while maintaining long-term well-being.

With an individualized approach to treatment, she carefully selects modalities based on each client's unique physiology and the severity of their condition. Dr. Kitty has trained under renowned experts in classical homeopathy, Bowen therapy, Western herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, therapeutic cupping, and bio-identical hormone therapy, ensuring her patients receive the most effective and personalized care possible.

 

In her spare time, Kitty is also an avid woodworker, enjoying the creativity and craftsmanship that come with working with her hands.
