Maple Pecan Cookies

You will need
2 1/4 cups maple syrup
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
5 cups barley flour
2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp sea salt

1.  Combine all ingredients except pecan halves, stirring well.  Add the flour gradually to avoid clumping.
2.  Using a tsp, scoop a rounded tsp onto a waxed cookie sheet.
3.  Press a pecan halve on top into the cookies.
4.  Bake for 15-20 minutes at 325 F until the cookies begin to brown.  Remove from heat even if the cookies are still a bit soft.
